Barons is the most northeastern country on the continent of Hayashi with a mainly human population. Its capital Bar-Noren is stationed among the coastal mountains. However, being the most eastern major city hardly makes it welcoming to intercontinental travelers. The city itself was built high into the mountains with a massive stone wall surrounding it, making it more of a city within a fortress.

Despite the militaristic appearance of Bar-Noren, the residents of the country take a "firm-but-friendly" approach to life. Barons' people are hard workers and will stand strong against any who dare threaten their friends or family. Anyone who doesn't toughen up to the rugged winters often, and very quickly, leaves for warmer climates.

Due to the historical founding of Barons under a female, the government is ruled under a matriarchy, with the current queen being Ami Clarens. The people respect their queen for her unbiased decision making as well as her willingness to go into battle beside her people...much to the dismay of the Bar-Noren Royal Guard.
